Easy to Peel Hard Boiled Egg Recipe: Instant Pot Method

I hated hard boiled for the longest time because they either weren't cooked right or were a total pain to peel. Then I got an Instant Pot! This method is so easy and the turn out perfectly cooked and so dang easy to peel every single time. If you have an Instant Pot, you have to try it! These easy to peel hard boiled egg recipe is going to be your new favorite.

Egg sitting in an Instant Pot
  1. Place the trivet in the bottom of your instant pot so the eggs aren't sitting directly on the bottom. Add 1 cup of water and place the eggs on top of the trivet. You can layer them up to the fill line if you need to cook a whole bunch!

2. Put on the lid and set to sealing. Cook on manual high for 1 minute. I know it sounds crazy for just one minute but this makes them cook just right!

3. Once it has finished the one minute, let the steam naturally release ( do not open vent!!! ) for 15 minutes. While you're waiting, get a large bowl with lots of ice and some water ready.

4. As soon as the 15 minute natural release is up, remove the lid and gently transfer the eggs to the ice bath. I like to use tongs for this! Let the eggs sit until cook so the cooking process stops and they don't overcook, about 5-10 minutes.

5. Once completely cooled, you are ready to peel. I like to put them in an empty jar with a lid and shake the egg and then the peel comes right off when you take it out. Now your eggs are ready to enjoy!
