Give me a holiday and I will most definitely be making some cute food to go along with it! I've been doing it way back even before I had kids. It's just something I love to do and these ideas for Easter and simple but still tons of fun!
The Easter Egg Snack Tray - This is a super simple way to make snack time a little more festive. Simply take an empty egg carton and fill the holes with plastic eggs. You can either use just the bottoms or simply open the whole egg and seal up the snacks for a surprise each time they open one up!
This is also great for the kids table at Easter. My picky eaters are never too excited about most family meals so having their own food available means I don't have to worry about making sure they eat.
Looking for another way to make the kids table more fun? Check out to DIY table cloth we made using another kitchen tool. Take cookie cutters and have them trace the shapes on the back of wrapping paper. Use it as a tablecloth for easy clean up! They could even color the pictures in while they are enjoying time together.

Hard Boiled Egg Chicks - These cute little eggs are so darn cute but so easy to make! I like to make a bunch of HBE in my instant pot because they cook perfectly every time and are so easy to peel! My good friend also shared with me her stovetop method that has great results too.
Instant Pot Hard Boiled Eggs
Place a trivet in the bottom of your pot. Put the eggs on top and pour in one cup of water. Cover and set the lid to sealing. Cook on manual high pressure for 1 minute. Once the timer goes off, let the pot sit at pressure for 15 minutes. After the 15 minutes release any leftover pressure and remove the eggs. Done!
Stovetop Hard Boiled Eggs
Bring a pot of water to a boil. Place the eggs in and boil for 15 minutes. As soon as they are done, place them in an ice water bath to stop them cooking. Done!
To make the chick, simply peel the egg. Take a knife and start towards the middle of the bottom of the egg. Press the knife in gently until it just hits the yoke and make a zig zag pattern all the way around the egg. Once you make it all the way around, gently take the two whites apart and reveal the yellow yolk chick in the center! Use a small triangle of carrot for the nose and black sesame seeds for the eyes.

Bunny Waffle - I love how easy it is to transform a waffle into something special and this Easter bunny version is perfection. Put one full waffle in the center of the plate. Cut the sides off of another waffle for the ears. With the remaining center section, cut two circles for the cheeks. Lay the ears on top of the waffle and the cheeks towards the center.
Slice a banana into rounds. Place two above the cheeks for eyes and top with a blueberry on each banana. Use a raspberry or strawberry cut into a triangle as the bunny nose. Use pretzel sticks or strips of fruit to make the whiskers and marshmallows for teeth.

Cheese Ball Chicks - These are quite possibly the cutest chicks around! A perfect appetizer for your Easter gathering. Start with your favorite cheeseball recipe (we just used cream cheese and cooked crumbled bacon) and roll it into small bite sized balls.
Roll those in shredded cheddar cheese - finely shredded works best! Place the cheese balls on top of crackers and finish with carrot triable nose and little carrot feet. The finishing touch is black sesame seed eyes.

Bunny Smoothie - Smoothies are a family favorite and turning them extra cute makes them extra fun! You can use your favorite smoothie recipe or use what we did - frozen banana, frozen strawberries, frozen riced cauliflower, and milk.
To decorate the cup, use marshmallow fluff to spread it on the inside of your cup in the shape of a bunny. Use a dry erase marker on the outside of the cup to draw a bunny face. You can use a permanent marker if using disposable cups.
