“Boob” Bites

I don’t enjoy breastfeeding 😧 There, I said it! I feel like I’m supposed to love it and tell you it bonds me to my baby and is all rainbows and unicorns. For me, it’s not.

I had every problem possible ( mastitis, cracked nipples, clogged ducts ) when trying to nurse my first and ended up exclusively pumping for 11 months which is probably why I now dislike pumping so much! I had thrush for two months with my second and dried up around 6 months. My third has been my easiest. He naturally knew how to latch and it’s been a breeze but I must say I still don’t enjoy it and looked forward to the day I’m done the day I started.

So if I don’t like it, why do I do it? I do it because first of all, it’s FREE! It requires no washing bottles 🍼 ( unless I pump of course ) and it gives baby extra antibodies when we’re sick 🤒 Just like all those crazy things we do for our kids, this in one of them for me.

When @nubyusa asked me to try their new silicone breast pump I was excited because it gets me extra milk for when I’m gone without the hassle of getting out the big pump. #sponsored I stick it on the other side while nursing and get some extra ounces throughout the day. You can now find the #NubyUSA silicone breast-pump on amazon ( I’ve added it to my amazon shop under nursing * affiliate link ). Here’s a quick recipe for some Boobites that might help boost your milk supply! I don’t know that they actually work but they’re delicious so I’ll eat them no matter what!!

Boob Bites 2 cups old fashioned oats 1/2 cup ground flaxseed 2 Tbs brewer’s yeast 1 cup peanut butter 1/4 cup honey 1 Tbs chia seeds 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips

Put all ingredients into a food processor and pulse until the mixture starts to stick together. Stir in chocolate ships with a spoon and roll scoops of the bites into balls. Store in an airtight container in the freezer and enjoy when your milk needs a little boost!

If you breastfed, did it come more naturally to you?
